Crystal AB Czech Glass and Silver Earrings

Crystal faceted 4 and 6mm Aurora Borealis finish Czech glass rounds and coiled sterling silver spacers dance beautifully together in these elegant handmade earrings. The gorgeous beads capture light and flash it back like a prism. Oversized chain links add a dramatic flair. Earrings dangle 1 1/2 inches from the tops of the sterling silver ear wires.

Czech glass beads are renowned for their excellent craftsmanship dating back to the 11th century. Made of quality glass, the vivid colors will not fade and are consistent throughout the line. Czech fire-polished beads feature exceptional color and size consistency. The beads are optically polished, creating maximum brilliance.
The stunning finish on the beads in these earrings is AB, also known as Aurora Borealis, and is a striking play of color inspired by the Northern Lights.

Crystal AB Czech Glass Wide Link Necklace

4, 6 and 8mm faceted, crystal AB Czech Glass rounds take center stage in this dramatic handmade necklace and are the perfect compliment to the wide link silver plated chain. Sterling silver spacers beautifully bring focus to the main stones. The chain sparkles and shines much more beautifully and is a little lighter and brighter than the photo shows. Necklace is 19" and closes in back with a lobster claw clasp.

Mother of Pearl Pendant Necklace

Linked Mother of Pearl heart-shaped leaves and accents, white pearls and cream freshwater pearls provide the chain for this lovely handmade pendant necklace. The 21" chain holds a 3 1/2" drop, featuring a beautiful 2 1/2" art deco Mother of Pearl pendant. Necklace closes in back with a lobster claw clasp.

This necklace would be extra cute with a little white tank top and blue jeans but is gorgeous enough to spice up that little black dress.

Tiger Eye, Pearl, Antiqued Brass Pendant Necklace

Three more amber and cream freshwater pearls and a Tiger Eye round drape down over the beautifully carved cream colored pendant. Necklace is 21 inches long and the pendant drop is 3 inches long. Closes in back with a lobster claw clasp.

HAFteam Featured Artist: Paradise Purls

Located in beautiful North Carolina, Elizabeth Humphries of Paradise Purls is the featured artist from the Handmade Artists Forum. A former Human Resources Generalist and Technical Recruiter, Elizabeth spent her spare time teaching herself how to knit using a "how to" booklet and recruiting a little help from her friends and her Mother in Law. Says Elizabeth, "I fell in love with all the yarn...the colors and textures. One of my favorite things to do is spend time in a yarn shop touching all the different yarns. I'm very tactile!"
When she's not creating beautiful works of art, Elizabeth spends time blogging about knitting, life, family, books, arts/crafts and lots of other things. Some of her other interests include jewelry design, politics and, of course, the UNC Tarheels. Here is just a small sample of Elizabeth's work. Initially, when I saw this first piece, I thought it was actual metal link chainmaille, but it's a fabulous hand knit bracelet:

A Blushing Kiss: An Etsy Treasury East by VOLEUR DE BIJOUX

Monique of Voleur de Bijoux is a bronze sculptor and abstract painter by day and a jewelry designer by night. Shown here is her Etsy Treasury East entitled "A Blushing Kiss," in which she generously showcases the talents of some of her friends. But Monique is an artist in her own right. Her love of Paris, fashion, bright colors and  natural beauty has inspired her lovely line of jewelry.
According to Monique, "This whole process of designing and creating jewelry was a dream come true for me. It's the perfect combination of working with my hands and using my creativity to turn ordinary objects into a thing of beauty. I call it my wearable art because I look at each piece as an artistic design. I specialize in distinctive handmade creations with a romantic flare that invokes a retro glam feel. I love collecting unique and lovely vintage findings, pearls and gemstones to incorporate in my jewelry designs. I feel like a little bird that loves to collect bits of treasures and store them in her nest until Spring comes. As the flowers bloom, so do these pieces of jewelry which are incorporated with these special vintage beads and colorful gemstones."
Below are a few examples of Monique's work:

HAFteam Featured Artists: Dream River Designs

Debbie Downs, DreamRiver Designs owner and creator lives on a small farm in Cannon Falls Minnesota with her husband, two children, and Heritage Livestock breeds, Dexter Cattle and Olde English Babydoll Sheep. Designing jewelry was a childhood dream for Debbie. Expressing her love for her craft, she says, "I love the feel of the metals, and the fluidity of movement that the chain maille pieces have. Maille pieces bring to mind a more chivalrous time, full of fantasy and Knights. Each pieces is created from one single ring that is woven and entwined with others using ancient patterns & techniques. Wire wrapping of minerals and crystals allows them to be worn as pendants. I try to feel what the stone 'is' and wrap to accentuate its properties and appearance. DreamRiver Design pieces are handcrafted to last a lifetime of wearing and carry a lifetime craftsmanship warranty. I use only top quality gem stones, crystals and precious metals, and other quality materials for finished work. I also craft heirloom quality rosaries and chaplets."

Here are a few examples of Debbie's lovely work:
